After lunch we headed back to 3K6 with a full stomach and cumulus clouds rolling in. We decided to fly over EIU for one good picture and then head west. The flight home had skydivers and gliders in our path. Made for interesting radio communication. Overall, I rate Coles County a 7 out of 10, just for the service being what it was. The airport is well maintained and easily accessible. Here's Airnav's link http://www.airnav.com/airport/KMTO.

I actually flew this mission with a buddy of mine about a month ago. I was the pilot in command even though he is a KC-135 pilot in the Guard. I decided to take a trip up to Coles County Airport to eat lunch at the Airport Cafe. Since Ben and I attended Eastern Illinois University together we knew about the giant pork tenderloin sandwiches. We would even eat there in college. The flight up took about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Once we arrived there were aircraft all over the place. They were having a function of some sort. We proceeded on the restaurant and ate like idiots. I had the tenderloin and an order of hand battered onion rings. The food was great, the service however, was not.
